Father’s Day Cards

I was a little behind in getting a Father’s Day card ready so I needed one quickly and ended up making a few so I could choose which one I liked best. So I put together these three simple cards that have the same design but very in color etc. The paper I used was the oliver paper pad by BasicGrey. I also used some random gears and brads that I had in my stash.

I started with a plain white card base that is 4×5.5 and added the large color block which measured 3.75×5.25. Then I cut various strips, three per card, and snipped the ends into points. Next I added a couple of gears with a brad through the middle strip prior to adhering all three strip down. Last I printed out Happy Father’s Day in three different fonts on white card stock and trimmed them down to size. I slipped one end of the strip under the gears and done!

Valentine’s Day Cards

I made a few 3×3 Valentine’s Day cards. I wanted to play with all the new copic markers I got for Christmas! I love the little owls. I scored 6×3 pieces of paper and folded them to make my cards. Then I cut 2.75 x 2.75 color mats to layer on the cards. Next I cut 2.5 x 2.5 white pieces of paper to do my stamping on. After stamping, coloring with copics, and adding stickles or googley eyes I took a black/brown pen and drew a border around the white sheets before adhering it all together. Super cute and the perfect size for Valentine’s Day cards!

Christmas Cards

So we are already 1 week into November… it was finally time to take the pool down today! Also with Christmas season quickly approaching I took some time to make another set of Christmas cards. Each card is slightly different with the patterns used and placements of embellishments. Now I just need it to not be 80 outside so it will actually feel like Fall with Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner.

This set of cards is available for purchase at My Etsy Shop.

Christmas Cards

I decided to get a head start on making some Christmas cards this year. I have never made my own to send out so thought I would give it a whirl. Here are three that I have made so far. Beginning to get addicted to coloring with the copic markers now… going to have to get more colors.

On the two cards above I used a set of Stampendous stamps called “Snowy Short Stacks”

On this card the penguin and snowflake stamps are from Friskars.

Hopefully these will inspire you to create some Christmas cards of your own!
