Tim Holtz Day 10

Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Day 10 Tag. The final day was just one tag. I didn’t think I would be interested in the distress stickles but they do give a really unique look. Can’t really tell by the pic but it has a crushed glass look to it. Just got around to making this tag, have had family in town for a couple weeks and have been spending time with them and soaking up some sun rays before the real Houston heat hits us.

Tim Holtz Day 8

Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Day 8 Tags. Today was working with acrylic paints including crackle paints.

Tag 1: Dabber Resist Technique

Tag 2: Crackle Paint Resist Technique (My favorite!)

Tag 3: Shattered Stains Technique

Also, I have been keeping all my tags on a ring and thought I would share that. It has been a quick reference when I am looking for a technique to apply to a project. These are all going to look great in the mini albums I am making!

Tim Holtz Day 7

Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Day 7 tags. Today was all about embossing!

Tag 1: Nostalgic Batik Technique
I used fired brick to stamp with.

Tag 2: Rusted Enamel Technique
My background color I used was broken china.

tag 3: Distress Powder Resist Technique
For this technique I used different colors of distress inks to stamp then used black distress powder so the colors would show through.

Tim Holtz Day 6

Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Day 6 tags. Today’s tags used distress markers in different ways.

Tag 1: I used different techniques with distress markers and labeled them directly on the tag for future reference.

Tag 2: I applied the distress markers to a stamp and put that on a manilla tag, then used some walnut distress ink and flicked water on it.

Tag 3: I spritzed water on that same stamp I had and then stamped it onto watercolor paper. Then used watercolor brush over the butterflies and walnut ink around the edges.

Tag 4: I spritzed water on the stamp again and then stamped it onto watercolor paper and let it dry.

You can definitely get a lot of different effects with the distress markers. I only had a few colors to play with but was still able to get several different looks.
